Stilt walkers, singers, dancers and more will highlight  activities for the entire family on Wilshire Center Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wilshire Blvd. between Western Ave. and Harvard Blvd.  Special appearances by Daryle Hannah, Lsabel Lucas, Esai Morales, and surprise guests at noon on the Solar Stage.

A section of the world famous Wilshire Blvd. will be closed to traffic and open to pedestrians, live music performances, green demonstrations, and about 130 different vendors participating.  There will be three major points of interest, consisting of the solar stage with music performances, with our main act by Michael Franti; there will be an environmental tent with discussions on the greening of our city; and a kid’s zone with programs by and for children.

Get on your walking shoes, and enjoy a car-free day on April 22 in Wilshire Center or ride your bike, take the bus or train to Wilshire  and Western where a gigantic celebration will be taking place.
